3rd Semester start tomorrow

Well the summer vacation cold be described as over now that the school is starting again. This summer I have not got to do all the things I had planned, so some of those things will have to be done whenever i get the time to do them.

My new headset: Koss Ur/29 Mix Jockey, my last headset lasted for 4 years (Pro-Luxe OA-580)

Dungeon-master screen 3.5 ed D&D
As promised I will show one of the things i have been working on this summer, for the D&D role-play sessions I have made my own Dungeon-Master Screen, the screen were made using hobby-cardboard A3 screens that were cut in two and then fitted together. I then used a pocked page from Ultra-pro to fit 6 pockets on the leftmost side of the screen, the other 3 sides were fitted using selected pages from the 3.5 screen found here. The other side of the screen is yet to be fitted, but I will probably use some tables that are well-used by the players of my games and probable one A4 plastic pocket for exchangeable maps and info from the game.

Some parts for an life sized Gundam were sold for 4001000 JP¥ (46 867 US$ | 292 252 NOK) at an auction.

Project: The Color Donation Page

This project was to find ways to change and directly have the user/visitor change the visual experience of an website as well s to set up means to if lucky gather some funding for any of my projects. (I have no hopes of actually get any large funding this way, but if it should go the right way I would be thrilled)

Currently reading: Generation A by Douglas Coupland

The Color Donation Page

Project: The Color Donation Page

The idea behind the site was to make the donated money directly change the css code stating the colors used on the 4 different fields on the frontpage so that if someone donated 9 dollars to help funding my graphical novel (read: comic-series) then the code for the red field on the color donation site would have 9 added to the RGB code and then also making it slightly different.

Got myself an Laptop

Well after being stuck to my desktop computer for many years i decided to finally get myself an laptop so i could start to be productive even without sitting at my desktop all the time, and even perhaps start to use my second desk. (that i actually got to use for sketching, drawing and other non computer work.) Actually i am also in the start of this semesters exams now, my exam will be to make new web-pages (layout/design) for an small “indie” game-developer company. Will get back to that as soon as i have the boring layout coding done.

Currently listening to Harrys Gym – Brother

I got myself an MacBook Pro 15″ and upgraded the hard-drive to 7200 rpm to avoid the Hd to be the bottleneck under work.

Total cost in Norway: 17 494 NOK | 2 231 EU€ | 1 918 UK£ | 2 834 US$ | 261 904 JP¥

For the project i have also bought an license for Artisteer, i hope this will make the hard-coding of the layout in php easier since it is actually rather good and clearly how the php and html code is presented after making an template with this program…

I have also started the work with an D&D3.5 DM screen, will post pictures and perhaps even make the prints available later :)

D&D3.5 was released in 2003 as the 9th revision/version since the original D&D came in 1974

Website – html and css

2. Semester at Noroff have started some time ago now and we have until now this semester worked with basics of website building and coding. At first we went through the basics of html and then gradually also more and more use of css and how these two works together. I think i was rather lucky in this, since i knew most of the basics before this, but i did learn a few tricks that have made the coding job easier fro me.

Trail of Camulos – Logo

As a task at school we were to make a logo for our own design bureau, so i ended up with making my already in progress project The Trail of Camulos to also include an design bureau. An proses including, sketching, trying, finding font, deciding on colors and more had to be done for me to be able to come to a result that i could stand for and be happy about. And the result is what you see here:
