The Trail of Camulos

Hi, I am back after a while on holyday, and also some days without connection to the www, some problems at the internet provider’s side, really annoying. We had a really nice trip going from 13 degrees Celsius and landed at night in around 30 degrees Celsius. I will try to give a little recap of the vacation here.

Already on the first night we went to a pub down the street from the hotel, the next day we decided we wanted to check out the pool, and had a really good time just relaxing at one of the hotels 3 pools. I can finally announce the artist for the illustrated series that I am the writer behind. Beryl Kwok a student at the Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) was the artist who showed me the most interesting style and was the one closest to my own visions of the characters. There were several others of the artists that showed me great skills and therefore I had some difficulties deciding on the artist in the end. The work I present here are the concept drawing of the two main characters of the story, I will tell more about the characters and a little about the story as soon as the website is up for the story.

Beryl Kwok will receive the script for the story and will work on the story from now on, we will not let the story go live before we have around 1-2 chapters ready, after that it will be a weekly updated story with 1-3 new pages each week.

I will do my selection within a few days now, I am almost certain of who I want to work with for this project and I will make my selection before I take my leave for a few days, the artist will be announced preferable before I go, but I can’t make any promises when it comes to any public announcement about that, so it could be that I won’t be able to tell anyone about who I have selected before I am back from the holyday, well it is only a few days I will go away anyway and I will use the trip for more than just pleasure.

I had a little fun with one of the pictures I use as ID on web pages and came up with the result you see above here, tried to make it simple but keep enough to be able to see that it is me.

Had a really weird dream last night, I can’t remember all the details but I can try to explain the parts I do remember. I was part of some kind of club, like an highschool club or something and what we were doing was to make statistics of what people was thinking about different things and the results had great impact on the world in different ways, like we made statistics of how the different governments were neglecting and avoiding different questions like “what are you doing to prevent even more global nature and climate problems?” In the dream there were actual governments around the world that got rid of most of the politicians and got young new minds into the positions and things were suddenly starting to look better in some areas. But the funny thing was that, that part of the dream was not the actual story I was dreaming only like a side-story. I can’t remember too much of the main story except for that I met a figure from one of the stories I have written before and I also met some people I have never seen before, some of them I would like to meet in the awake life. I really would like an invention that remembered my dreams so I could see them later once more :D

Yesterday was the last day for one of the co-hosts for the Radio show I am one of the hosts for, this makes us down to 2 hosts and there is now room for a new host to join our radio team. Of course we need writers for the main site also. So if you are living in Kristiansand and want to join a team of volunteer writers to write articles about cultural events and stuff in Kristiansand, you would be more than welcome to the team. After the show yesterday we went out to party and had one of the best Tuesday night out in a long time :D

I have been working on yet another version of the wall with the singe window, this time I have been trying to add some flowers and a hedge on top, however I can’t seem to get it right so I will post an accidently made work of woodflower instead.
